      OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                        22nd March 2026

 

1.The Fr. in Charge expresses sincere gratitude to all Jumuiyas for successfully completing their elections. Those that have not yet submitted the names of their elected leaders are kindly requested to do so at the Parish Office. Following the conclusion of the Jumuiya elections, the Parish will now embark on elections for the YCA, YSC, and the Ecclesial Groups, which will commence TODAY 22nd March 2026. All concerned members are encouraged to participate accordingly.

2.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (27th March), it will be animated by the Bible Study group.

3.Palm Sunday Announcements

       a) Next Sunday, 29th March 2026, is Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion.All Masses will begin outside the church with the blessing of palms. Kindly assemble in front of the church.

       b)Sunday Masses will be as follows:

                   i. 1st Mass – 7:15 a.m.

                   ii. 2nd Mass – 9:15 a.m.

                   iii. PMC/MYM Mass – 9:15 a.m. (in their respective halls downstairs)

                   iv. 3rd Mass – 12:00 noonv. 4th Mass – 5:30 p.m.c)

 

Priests will be available for confessions from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the confession box and in the downstairs hall.

 

4.Parishioners are requested to bring their own palms. However, palms will also be provided free of charge.

5.The Church requests donations of palms. Those willing to donate are kindly asked to register at the parish tent outside the church or at the church office during the week. The palms should be delivered to the church on Saturday, 28th March 2026, by 3:00 p.m.6.All Christians are invited to a liturgical reflection from 24th to 27th, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., followed by Holy Mass. All are welcome.

7.CMA Announcement:a)CMA will hold their elections next Sunday, 29th March, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hall after the 9.30am Mass. All Members are invited to attend.

8.The Worldwide Marriage Encounter is pleased to announce that the first Original Weekend of the Archdiocese of Nairobi will be held on April 10th – 12th, 2026 at St. Francis Spiritual Center Kasarani. The cost is Kshs. 12,000 for married couples and Kshs. 6,000 for the religious. For more information and registration kindly visit the tent outside the Church.

9.St. Francis Community Hospital – Kasarani will host a Paediatric Orthopaedic Camp from 26th to 27th March 2026. Free services and subsidised tests will be offered. Parents are encouraged to bring children with any orthopaedic or limb-related concerns. All are welcome. For more information, kindly visit the noticeboard.

10.The following Masses will be celebrated on Thursday, 26th March:

11.Members of St. Paul the Apostle Small Christian Community are informed that their recollection will take place on Saturday the 28th March at Clergy home. All members are encouraged to attend.

           OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                     15th March 2026

1.The Fr. in Charge expresses his gratitude to the Jumuiyas that have already conducted their elections and submitted the names to the Parish Office. He encourages those yet to do so to hold their elections and submit the names of their leaders by 22nd March 2026. Elections for YCA, YSC, and the Ecclesial Groups will also commence on 22nd March 2026.

2.All liturgists are informed that there will be a Liturgy Meeting on Wednesday, 18th March at 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Hall for the purpose of planning for Holy Week celebrations. All liturgists are kindly requested to attend without fail.

3.Our Parish Bookshop will officially open next Sunday, 22nd March, and will be launched after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. A variety of liturgical books, including the Bible, sacramentals, and branded merchandise, will be available. This is a proud milestone for our parish. Let us continue to grow in faith together by making good use of these resources.

4.CMA Announcement:a)In Commemoration of their Patron, the Feast of Saint Joseph Day, CMA will receive Members who were commissioned in other Parishes but have since transferred to our Parish next Sunday, 22nd March during the 09:30am Mass.

5.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20th March), it will be animated by the YCA/YSC groups.

6.Miriam Nakoi from Turkana, who is working to establish a home for the elderly through the proceeds from the sale of her books and handmade baskets, is with us today for the second time seeking our support. Every item purchased brings hope and dignity to vulnerable elderly people in Turkana. Kindly visit her table outside the church and support her in whichever way you can.

2.    The Fr. In-Charge is happy to inform you that His Grace Philip Anyolo, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Nairobi, has officially announced St. Gregory Catholic Church as one of the outstations of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. The outstation will be officially launched on 15th March 2026 with Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Thindigua. All the Jumuiyas (Small Christian Communities) around Thindigua are kindly requested to join in this Mass as we celebrate this important milestone in the growth of our parish community.

3.    The Fr. In-charge advises that the SCC elections may proceed. The names of the elected leaders should be submitted to the parish office. All SCC elections should be completed by 22nd March. Elections for Youth and Ecclesial Movements will be held from 22nd March.

2.    “THE WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE” (Forty days of Lenten spiritual journey), is ongoing, with daily Eucharistic Adoration and Guided Lenten reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Holy Mass.

3.    The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (6th March 2026), it will be animated by the CMA Group.

4.    Our Priests will visit the sick, home-bound and the elderly on Tuesday 3rd March 2026, from 9.00 am. Kindly register at the tent outside the Church

     OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                      15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

       i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

       ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

       iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

       iv.Karura - 1:00pm

     The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously

.4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time

.7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

  Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 3.        APPRECIATION MESSAGE

a)      The family of Joel Kabari Thuku, together with the Organizing Committee, sincerely thank all Christians for the love, prayers, and support extended to them during the time of bereavement and the burial of James Njoroge Kabari and family. We are grateful to everyone who stood with us and shared in our grief. May the Almighty God reward your kindness with abundant blessings and unending grace. The Fr. In Charge is also grateful to inform you that the daughter Claire Wairimu is well and settled and going on with school.

5.       The Archdiocese of Nairobi Youth Office invites all Young Catholic Adults (YCA) to a Valentine Eve and Fundraising Dinner on Friday, 13th February 2026 at Elysian Resort, starting 6:00 p.m. This event will be a joyful evening of fellowship, networking, and support for youth initiatives. We encourage parishioners and groups to partner with us through donations or sponsorship. For details kindly visit the noticeboard

7.      All parishioners are requested to bring the palms that were blessed last year on Palm Sunday to help prepare the ashes for Ash Wednesday. Kindly drop them off on Sunday 15th February 2026 at the Parish tent or at the Parish office during the week.

8.      PMC ANNOUNCEMENTSa)        The PMC has resumed its Saturday formation classes, which take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parents are kindly requested to support and encourage their children’s participation.b)      Parents are requested to register their children for the Archdiocese PMC Annual Mass to be held at St. Mary Msongari on 14/02/2026. Registration will be done through the OLRCP PMC Children WhatsApp group by 04/02/2026. All children are encouraged to attend.

9.       The Archdiocese of Nairobi has scheduled the Church elections to take place in March 2026 following the completion of the three-year term. Please note that we will hold the PPC meeting next Sunday, 15th February after the 7.30am Mass. The meeting will be held at Elysian Hotel along Kiambu Road; therefore, kindly plan to attend the first Mass. All members are requested to be seated by 9:30 a.m.

The group offers support, prayer, and formation to help couples grow closer to each other and to God. Couples interested in deepening their marriage are warmly invited to join or learn more.                          MERRY CHRISTMAS

  1. Every First and Second Sunday of the month, we offer our tithe to the Lord. Next Sunday, 4th January 2026, will be the first Tithe Sunday. Tithe envelopes are available in the tithe boxes at the church pillars and at the Church Tent. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Paybill Number is 867165.

  2. Envelopes for Christmas offering are available at the Church pillars and the tent outside the church. Kindly pick one and offer your gift. You can drop it in the sadaka boxes or in the Tithe boxes inside the Church

  3. End of the year Masses programme:

    1. Wednesday 31/12/2025: Vigil Mass at 7.00 pm which will be animated by Youth Serving Christ (YSC), Missionary Youth Movement (MYM), and Young Catholic Adults (YCA) groups

  1. 8.00am Mass will be animated by the Liturgists

  1. The Christmas Novena is ongoing. Eucharistic Adoration is held at 6:00 a.m. on weekdays and at 6:30 a.m. on weekends, followed by Mass. In the evening, Novena reflections begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by Mass at 7:00 p.m., and will continue until the morning of Wednesday, 24th December.

  2. Envelopes for Christmas offering are available at the Church pillars and the tent outside the church. Kindly pick one and offer your gift

  4. As we prepare for the birth of Christ, we invite parishioners to share the Christmas spirit by supporting vulnerable families and children in our neighbourhood. You may donate food items, clothes and shoes, school stationery, or basic toiletries. Donations can be dropped off at the Parish Office on weekdays during working hours.

  5. Marriage Banns: for the third time. We announce the marriage between

    1. Robert Ndolo Kyalo, son of Christopher Kyalo Musau and Anna Mutethya Kyalo, and Evelyn Syombua, daughter of James Kikumu Kakai and Angeline Mumbe Kikumu

  • Alhamisi, 26/12/2025, Misa ni saa tatu Asubuhi hapa kanisani. (9.00am).
