OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. Sunday,           19th April 2026

           HAPPY EASTER

1.Infant Baptism will take place here in the church on Saturday, 25th April 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

2.Next Sunday, 26th April 2026, will be Vocation Sunday. We shall have a second collection which assists in the formation of priests and religious, particularly in mission lands.

3.There will be an induction and formation session for all newly elected leaders on Sunday, 26th April. All leaders are required to attend the 7:30 a.m. Mass, followed by the formation programme starting at 9:30 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Kindly purpose to attend. There will be no PMC Masses on that day.

4.April Holiday Camp Program for MYM (Youths aged 13–19 years)

     a.This is a polite reminder that the Holiday Camp will commence on Wednesday, 22nd April and end on Saturday, 25th April. Kindly register your children for this programme.

     b.All activities from Wednesday to Friday will take place at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ridgeways.

     c.On Saturday 25th, we shall attend the ADN MYM Mass at St. Austin’s.

     d. Registration is Ksh 300, which includes the ADN fees.

5.The Parish Caritas Self Help Group will hold its 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 25th April 2026 here in Church. The meeting will begin with Holy Mass at 9:00 AM. All members are requested to attend.

6.The Family Life Department of the Archdiocese of Nairobi (ADN) invites all faithful to a special Mass celebrating couples across the Diocese. This celebration will be guided by the Family Life groups, namely the Marriage Encounter Group and the Couples for Christ (CFC). The Mass will be held on 2nd May 2026 here at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. All couples are warmly encouraged to attend this grace-filled celebration.

7.We are joined today by a medical team from Aga Khan Hospital. Please stop by their tent after Mass to take advantage of the free check-ups and medical support available.

8.Marriage Banns: for the Third time. We announce the marriage between George Mureithi and Regina Wairimu. George is the son to Joseph Baru and Jecinta Baru. Regina is the daughter to James Muriuki and the late Joyce NyokabiShould there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the father-in-Charge.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Marriage Encounter Group, a group of married couples dedicated to strengthening their relationship through faith, open communication, and love. The group provides support, prayer, and formation to help couples grow closer to one another and to God. Couples interested in deepening their marriage are warmly encouraged to join or learn more.   2. Easter Dues envelopes are available at the church pillars and at the parish tent. Kindly pick an envelope and offer your dues.

  3. Easter souvenir gifts will be distributed after all Masses. Please ensure you pick one up at any of the main church exit doors before heading home.

  2. A Message of Gratitude from the Father in Charge

    1. The Father in Charge extends his sincere gratitude to all Christians for your generous tithe contributions. Your support has greatly enabled the parish to organize the Stations of the Cross and sustain the Social Welfare Account—which assists in paying school fees for those sponsored by the Church—among many other initiatives.

    2. He also expresses his heartfelt appreciation to the Pastoral Team, the PPC, the Liturgical Commission, the Choir, Lectors, Ushers, the Staff, and all members of our parish for the vital role each played in making our Easter festivities so solemn and successful.   5. Tomorrow, 6th April 2026 is Easter Monday. Mass will be at 8.00am. There will be no evening Mass.

  6. Divine Mercy Group invites you all for a 9-day Novena which has already started. The DIVINE MERCY FEAST DAY is on 12th April 2026 which will be celebrated during the noon Mass. You are all invited to join in the celebration.

The classes will begin next Saturday, 11th April 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Kindly register at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office during the week.

  8. Our parish bookshop is now fully operational and serving the faithful. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday: On Weekdays 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m, Saturdays 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m, and Sundays 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. You are warmly invited to visit and explore a wide range of liturgical books including Bibles, sacramentals and branded merchandise. The Worldwide Marriage Encounter is pleased to announce that the first Original Weekend of the Archdiocese of Nairobi will be held on April 10th – 12th, 2026 at St. Francis Spiritual Center Kasarani. The cost is Kshs. 12,000 for married couples and Kshs. 6,000 for the religious. For more information and registration kindly visit the tent outside the Church.

1.    Every first and second Sunday of the month, we offer our tithe to the Lord. Next Sunday, 5th April 2026, will be the first Tithe Sunday. We shall present our tithes at the sanctuary for blessing. Tithe envelopes are available in the tithe boxes at the church pillars and at the parish tent. 2.    During Eastertide, we are requested to bring foodstuffs and clothes to support our needy brothers and sisters. These may be dropped off at the parish office during the week. 
3.    Holy Week Announcements:
a.    Priests are available today, 29th March, for confessions from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the confession box and in the downstairs hall.
b.    The Priest’s Office will remain closed on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, except for emergencies.
c.    The Chrism Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Minor Basilica on Thursday, 2nd April 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
d.    The Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be held on Thursday, 2nd April 2026, at 6:00 p.m. It will be immediately followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The Mass will be animated by St. Mark the Evangelist Small Christian Community.
e.    Good Friday, 3rd April 2026: Christians are requested to assemble in the church compound by 11:30 a.m. Kindly carry your rosary for the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The CMA and Divine Mercy groups will animate the service. Children should accompany their parents for the Way of the Cross
i.    There will be a special collection for the Holy Land during the Good Friday service. This is a universal appeal used to preserve the holy places where Jesus lived and taught. 
ii.    The Way of the Cross for the elderly will take place at 12:20 p.m. in the church. 
f.    The Easter Vigil Mass will be held on 4th April 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Christians are reminded to bring candles and candle holders to avoid spilling wax in the church. Kindly also carry your rosaries for the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Mass will be animated by St. Paul the Apostle Small Christian Community.

NB: Broken or spoilt sacramentals (e.g., rosaries, scapulars, rings, crucifixes, etc.) are usually burnt in the Holy Saturday fire. Those who have such items may bring them to the parish office between Tuesday and Thursday this week. PLEASE DO NOT BRING THEM ON HOLY SATURDAY.

  a.    Parents are kindly reminded that on Sunday, 5th April 2026, PMC Children will animate the 12:00 noon Mass. All children are requested to bring matega. Kindly note that there will be no 9:30 a.m. PMC Mass on this day.
7.    YCA Announcement
a.    The Young Catholic Adults (YCA) will hold their elections today immediately after the 12:00 noon Mass. All members are encouraged to attend and participate

           OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                     15th March 2026

1.The Fr. in Charge expresses his gratitude to the Jumuiyas that have already conducted their elections and submitted the names to the Parish Office. He encourages those yet to do so to hold their elections and submit the names of their leaders by 22nd March 2026. Elections for YCA, YSC, and the Ecclesial Groups will also commence on 22nd March 2026.

2.All liturgists are informed that there will be a Liturgy Meeting on Wednesday, 18th March at 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Hall for the purpose of planning for Holy Week celebrations. All liturgists are kindly requested to attend without fail.

3.Our Parish Bookshop will officially open next Sunday, 22nd March, and will be launched after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. A variety of liturgical books, including the Bible, sacramentals, and branded merchandise, will be available. This is a proud milestone for our parish. Let us continue to grow in faith together by making good use of these resources.

4.CMA Announcement:a)In Commemoration of their Patron, the Feast of Saint Joseph Day, CMA will receive Members who were commissioned in other Parishes but have since transferred to our Parish next Sunday, 22nd March during the 09:30am Mass.

5.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20th March), it will be animated by the YCA/YSC groups.

6.Miriam Nakoi from Turkana, who is working to establish a home for the elderly through the proceeds from the sale of her books and handmade baskets, is with us today for the second time seeking our support. Every item purchased brings hope and dignity to vulnerable elderly people in Turkana. Kindly visit her table outside the church and support her in whichever way you can.

2.    The Fr. In-Charge is happy to inform you that His Grace Philip Anyolo, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Nairobi, has officially announced St. Gregory Catholic Church as one of the outstations of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. The outstation will be officially launched on 15th March 2026 with Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Thindigua. All the Jumuiyas (Small Christian Communities) around Thindigua are kindly requested to join in this Mass as we celebrate this important milestone in the growth of our parish community.

3.    The Fr. In-charge advises that the SCC elections may proceed. The names of the elected leaders should be submitted to the parish office. All SCC elections should be completed by 22nd March. Elections for Youth and Ecclesial Movements will be held from 22nd March.

4.    Our Parish Bookshop will officially open on 22nd March 2026 and will be launched after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. 2.    “THE WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE” (Forty days of Lenten spiritual journey), is ongoing, with daily Eucharistic Adoration and Guided Lenten reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Holy Mass.

5.    The Worldwide Marriage Encounter is pleased to announce that the first Original Weekend of the Archdiocese of Nairobi will be held on April 10th – 12th, 2026 at St. Francis Spiritual Center Kasarani. The cost is Kshs. 12,000 for married couples and Kshs. 6,000 for the religious. For more information and registration kindly visit the tent outside the Church.

6.    Tom and Lynette Lichuma will be with us next Sunday, 8th March, to promote and sell their book titled TIPS FOR NURTURING TEENAGERS IN THE CHANGING TIMES. Kindly support them by purchasing a copy and learning from their inspiring work.

     OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                      15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

       i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

       ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

       iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

       iv.Karura - 1:00pm

     The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time

.7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. 3.        APPRECIATION MESSAGE

a)      The family of Joel Kabari Thuku, together with the Organizing Committee, sincerely thank all Christians for the love, prayers, and support extended to them during the time of bereavement and the burial of James Njoroge Kabari and family. We are grateful to everyone who stood with us and shared in our grief. May the Almighty God reward your kindness with abundant blessings and unending grace. The Fr. 5.       The Archdiocese of Nairobi Youth Office invites all Young Catholic Adults (YCA) to a Valentine Eve and Fundraising Dinner on Friday, 13th February 2026 at Elysian Resort, starting 6:00 p.m. This event will be a joyful evening of fellowship, networking, and support for youth initiatives. We encourage parishioners and groups to partner with us through donations or sponsorship. For details kindly visit the noticeboard

8.      PMC ANNOUNCEMENTSa)        The PMC has resumed its Saturday formation classes, which take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parents are kindly requested to support and encourage their children’s participation.b)      Parents are requested to register their children for the Archdiocese PMC Annual Mass to be held at St. Mary Msongari on 14/02/2026. Registration will be done through the OLRCP PMC Children WhatsApp group by 04/02/2026. All children are encouraged to attend.

9.       The Archdiocese of Nairobi has scheduled the Church elections to take place in March 2026 following the completion of the three-year term. Please note that we will hold the PPC meeting next Sunday, 15th February after the 7.30am Mass. The meeting will be held at Elysian Hotel along Kiambu Road; therefore, kindly plan to attend the first Mass. All members are requested to be seated by 9:30 a.m.

  1. Every First and Second Sunday of the month, we offer our tithe to the Lord. Next Sunday, 4th January 2026, will be the first Tithe Sunday. Tithe envelopes are available in the tithe boxes at the church pillars and at the Church Tent. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Paybill Number is 867165.
