OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                         15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

       i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

       ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

       iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

       iv.Karura - 1:00pm

     The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

     a)St. Faustina SCC,

     b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

     a) St. Jude SCC,

     b)St. Stephen SCC,

     c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

     d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

  Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. For more information, kindly visit the tent outside the Church.

OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                  17th November 2024


1. Today we have a Radio Maria 2nd Collection to assist in running the Radio Maria station in Nairobi. Choir kindly give us a hymn.

2. Next Sunday 24th November will be the solemnity of CHRIST THE KING. This feast marks the end of the Liturgical Year.

3. Our parish liturgical calendar for the year 2025 is now available for 200 KES only.  We have selected different feasts and solemnities of Our Lady as per our family day theme, “Our Lady, our Model of Prayer”, featured in other months of the year for personal reflections. Kindly get yourself a copy.

4. November is dedicated to praying for the souls of the faithful departed. We are encouraged to pray, perform works of mercy, do penance and book Mass intentions for these souls. 

Kindly pick an envelope marked “Departed Faithful” from the Church pillars, write the names of the departed faithful, put your offering and drop them in the “Departed Faithful” box at the sanctuary. You can also make your offering through the Parish Sadaka pay bill number 684456.

5. Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday, 7th December 2024, at 10.00 am here in church. Baptismal instruction classes for parents and godparents are ongoing, every Saturday at Maria Goretti Hall from 2 pm.

6. Catechism classes for both children and adults are ongoing.  

7. Formation classes one (1) and two (2) for CWA will begin on 12th January 2025. Kindly register at the Parish Tent or the Parish Office.

8. CHRISTMAS CAROLS

a) Our Parish PMC, MYM and Choirs have organized a Christmas Carols Concert to be held on Sunday 15th December 2024 starting 6:00pm here at the Parish. Let us come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus in song. 

9. Marriage Banns: for the First time. We announce the marriage between George Maina and Ruth Waithira. George is son to Peris Wanjiru and the late Philip Wanjohi. Ruth is daughter to Stephen Kinyanjui and Priscillah Nyakio.

10. We announce Marriage Banns for the Second time for the following couples:

a) Stephen Musyimi Kakoa and Francisca Ngatha Gitonga. Stephen is son to Julius Kakoa Musyimi and Anne Musau. Francisca is daughter to the late Joel Gitonga Baini and the late Jane Gatune Mwongelaa

b) Andrew Kimathi Muriithi and Evelyn Nungari Mwangi. Andrew is son to Benson Muriithi and Jael Muriithi. Evelyn is daughter to Charles Mwangi Muniu and the late Rosemary Muthoni

c) Mark Nzioka Mulobi and Winfred Muthini. Mark is son to the late Joseph Waita and the late Beatrice Mwikali. Winfred is daughter to Patrick Masila Munyalu and Jacinta Muoti Masila.

11. Marriage Banns: for the Third time. We announce the marriage between Kelvin Mutua and Wangu Gichuki. Kelvin is son to Geoffrey Muriungi Kiugu and Dolly Miriko Muriungi. Wangu is daughter to Ndirangu Kimeria Gichuki and Lily Wambui Gichuki.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father-in-Charge.

12. Mass for St. Faustina SCC will be celebrated this Tuesday 19th November at 7.00 pm

13. Mass for St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated this Tuesday 19th November at 7.00 pm

14. Mass for Divine Mercy group will be celebrated this Wednesday 20th November at 6.30 pm

15. Mass for St. Jude SCC will be celebrated this Thursday 21st November at 7.00 pm.

16. Mass for St. Stephen SCC will be celebrated this Thursday 21st November at 7.00 pm.

17. Mass for St. Mark the Evangelist SCC will be celebrated this Thursday 21st November at 7.00 pm.

18. Mass for St. Francis of Assisi will be celebrated this Friday 22nd November at 2.00 pm.
