OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 1. On the first and second Sundays of the month, we usually offer our tithe to the Lord. Today being the Second Sunday of May, you are invited to make your offering by bringing your tithe envelopes to the Sanctuary for blessings. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Pay bill No. is 867165. Choir please give us an offertory hymn.

2. “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE,” Pentecost Novena for nine days in preparation for Pentecost is ongoing, with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided meditation, Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

3. May is the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We are all encouraged to pray the Rosary at our homes, in our Small Christian communities and as individuals.

4. Infant Baptisms will take place on Saturday, 15th June 2024, at 10.00 am. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the Parents and godparents. The deadline for submission of the forms is Wednesday, 15thMay 2024. Classes will begin on Saturday 18th May 2024, at St. Maria Goretti Hall at 2.00 pm.

5. Sacred Heart Devotion will hold their classes today 12thMay 2024 after the 10 am mass at the Immaculate Conception Hall. New members are most welcome.

6. The Youth group would like to thank all Parishioners for their support during the last Bake Sale. In Celebration of this year's Mother’s Day, the Youth are having a Bake Sale today in honor of Mothers and our Mother Mary, from 8 am to 2 pm. We look forward to your support.

7. On 19thMay, Youth Serving Christ who have completed the ADN Formation will be commissioned during the 12 Noon Mass. YSC parents are requested to attend this Mass.

8. YCA announcements

a. The Archdiocese of Nairobi Youth office, through the Young Catholic Adults group (YCA) is thrilled to invite you to “"YOUNG CATHOLIC SINGLES WEEKEND" on 18th May 2024 at Radix hotel, Karen.For more information and registration please visit the tent outside the church.

9. PMC Announcements

a. During this Marian Month PMC shall be holding a Marian Seminar next week Saturday 18th May 2024 from 8:30 am - 12:00pm . All children between the ages of 3yrs - 13 yrs are encouraged to attend and they should carry their PMC Rosaries on that day.

b. On Sunday 19th May 2024 PMC shall Launch the Missionary Rosary during the PMC 10: 00 am Mass. Children are expected to arrive in church by 9:30 am and begin the procession at the Grotto. All children are expected to wear their PMC T/SHIRT and come with their PMC ROSARIES. There shall only be one PMC Mass on that day.

10. The CWA group will hold their monthly meeting next Sunday 19th May 2024 after the 10.00 am Mass. Kindly purpose to attend.

11. The charismatic group has organised a one-day Pentecost retreat on Saturday 18th May from 9am to 4.30pm. Theme for the retreat "But you shall receive Power when the spirit of God comes upon you"

12. The Fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Our Lady of the Rosary Self Help Group is scheduled for Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the Maria Goretti Hall. The AGM program will commence with the Eucharistic Celebration of Mass. Attendance for all active members is mandatory. Please ensure your presence at the AGM. A fine of Kshs. 200 will be levied on members who are absent without apology, and Kshs. 100 for those with apologies. Apologies should be sent to olrcshg@gmail.com in accordance with our By-Laws.

13. Next Sunday 19/5/2024, we will have a talk during all Masses on the topic “Understanding Grief”. The guest speaker will be Judy Chege-Ndungu.

14. Marriage Banns: for the First time. We announce the marriage between Muthomi Munyua and Pauline Wanjira. Muthomi is son to Julius G. M. Mutuaruchiu and Jennifer Karambu. Pauline is daughter to Bernard Kariuki and Susan Murugi.

15. Marriage Banns: for the Third time. We announce the marriage between Mark Kagwachi Munga & Lilian Kagendo Mwangi. Mark is son to Peter Kahara Munga and Rose Njambi Munga. Lilian is daughter to the Late James Mwangi and the Late Monicah Njoki.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father-in-Charge.
