OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 1. “THE WILDERNESS EXPERIENCE” (Forty days of Lenten spiritual journey), is ongoing, with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided Lenten meditation, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Holy Mass.

2. The Way of the Cross will be at 5.30pm every Friday of Lent followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday (23/02/2024), it will be animated by the Couples for Christ Group.

3. Priests will be available for confessions every day of the Lenten season after the morning Mass at the confessionals.

4. The CWA group will hold their monthly meetingtoday after the 10.00 am Mass at St. Joseph Hall. Kindly purpose to attend.

6. Father will meet the Liturgists, Head Lectors, and Head Ushers of all Small Christian Communities and ecclesial groups on Sunday 25th February 2024 after the 12 noon Mass. All are requested to attend

7. Caritas Self-Help Group will be conducting a membership registration drive next Sunday 25th February 2024.

8. The young couples will have a formation seminar on Sunday 25th February after the 10am Mass. All couples married for 15 years and below are welcome to attend the session at Immaculate Conception Hall.

9. YSC will have a Bake sale on Sunday, 25th February after every Mass, to raise money for their Charity Drive scheduled for 2nd March. Your personal Donations are most welcome. Dry foods can be dropped at the Parish Office. Cash can be sent to Mpesa Paybill No: 400222 A/C No.33953#YSC Charity. Kindly let us support our Youth.

10. YCA will have team building on 24th of this month. More details on this will be shared in the group’s subsequent meetings and official communication platforms.

11. The church is organizing a training for lectors and ushers in our parish. Those interested in this ministry are encouraged to register at the tent outside the church or the Parish office during weekdays. All Small Christian Communities are called upon to register their members for this important training. Dates for the same will be communicated.

12. The parish would like to engage choir trainers. Those interested are requested to send their applications and other relevant documents to the Fr in Charge/Parish Priest OLR by 1st March 2024. Letter of recommendation from one's Parish Priest is mandatory.

13. Caritas Self Help Group will be having an Education Day on 2nd March 2024 at 2pm here at the parish. It will be an event focused on learning about Caritas Nairobi’s vision of Socio-economic Empowerment. This gathering is an excellent opportunity for members to network, learn, and gain valuable insights into financial management, community building, and personal growth. Attendance is mandatory for all members. Kindly visit the information desk and pick application forms or visit our offices.

14. Marriage Banns: for the Second time. We announce marriage between Peter Absolom Mwangi and Martha Njeri. Absolom is son to the late Hiram Wainaina and the Late Prisilla Njeri. He hails from Gacoco village, Murang’a diocese.Martha is daughter to Peter Mbugua Njuguna and Hannah Wangui Mbugua. She hails from Komothai Village, Miguta Parish Githunguri.

15. Marriage Banns: for the third time. We announce marriage between Peter Kairu Kamunya and Emmah Wangithi. Peter is son to the late Joseph Kamunya and Beth Wanjiru. Emmah is daughter to Fredrick Muriuki and the late Lucy Wambui.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father-in-Charge.

18. Mass for Divine Mercy Group will be celebrated on Wednesday 21st February 2024, at 6.30 pm.

19. Mass for St. Michael the Archangel SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 22nd February 2024, at 7.00 pm.

20. Mass for Mary Help of Christians SCC will be celebrated on Saturday 24thFebruary 2024, at 3.00pm.
