OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.                         15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

       i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

       ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

       iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

       iv.Karura - 1:00pm

     The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

     a)St. Faustina SCC,

     b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

     a) St. Jude SCC,

     b)St. Stephen SCC,

     c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

     d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

  Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS.  ​               ​​1st September 2024


1. On the first and second Sundays of the month, we usually offer our tithe to the Lord. Today being the first Sunday, you are invited to make your offering by bringing your tithe envelopes to the Sanctuary for blessings. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Pay bill No. is 867165. Choir please give us an offertory hymn.

2. Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday, 7thSeptember 2024 at 10 am here in the Church.  

3. Our Parish Self-Help Group under Caritas Nairobi is still registering new members as well as junior accounts (Catch Them Young). Our office is open every Wednesday 8am - 5pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm and Sunday after all Masses. Call the office at +254 715 795 357 for further assistance or queries. 4. Marriage Encounter

a. The Archdiocese of Nairobi family life department would like to announce the original Marriage Encounter September weekend will be carried out from 13th to 15th of September 2024 at St Francis Spiritual Center(Kasarani). Concepts learned on a Marriage Encounter weekend are ongoing tools to keep a marriage strong while creating a conducive environment for parenting. We encourage couples to register at the tent outside for the upcoming September Weekend.

b. Marriage Encounter together with Couples for Christ groups, through the Family Life department have organized a joint Annual Mass on Saturday, 7th September 2024 at Holy Family Parish Utawala starting at 10 a.m. In this regard, all members of these groups are invited to attend this Mass which will be celebrated by His Grace Archbishop Phillip A. Anyolo, Archbishop of Nairobi. Any other couple that's not part of the two groups is also welcomed to attend. 5. Having come to the end of our short talks during Sunday Masses on mental health and wellness, the Parish is now launching full seminars where topics will be covered in depth.  The seminars kicks off in the month of September 2024. The first seminar which is targeting all women aged 18 years and above will take place on Saturday 7th Sept. 2024 from 9am and will conclude with Holy Mass at 11.30am.  The seminar’s topic is 'Navigating Menopause Gracefully'.  The guest speaker will be Dr. Njoki Fernandes.  She will discuss myths & facts of menopause, early/late onset of menopause, impact of menopause on general health, menopause & relationships and much more. It will be a highly interactive and fun learning session. Tea & lunch will be provided.  Please register at the desk outside the church or in the Parish office by Tuesday 3rd Sept. 2024 to facilitate planning.  

The second seminar in the month of October will be for men while in November there will be one for both men and women.  Details will be shared in due course.

6. CWA ANNOUNCEMENT.

All CWA members from other Parishes who would like to join OLRP CWA group kindly register at the tent outside the Church or contact the CWA Moderator Mrs Regina Karau on tel No.0721807529.

7. CHOIR ANNOUNCEMENTS

i. There will be a seminar for all choir members in Kabete Deanery on Saturday 7th September 2024 from 8 am  here in Church. All choir members  are invited to attend.

ii. There will be a Recollection for all choir members  in the parish on  Saturday 21st September 2024 from 7 am  at Chumvi Shrine. This recollection is for preparing new members being commissioned and renewal of  vows.

iii. Choir commissioning and renewal of vows will take place on Sunday 29th September 2024 here in Church during 12 noon Mass. Registration is on going in various choir groups.

iv. All choirs in the parish will have two joint practiseson Sunday 29th September  and Saturday 5th October from 1.30 pm in preparation for this year's Family Day.

8. Friday 6th September 2024, is the 1st Friday of the month, we will have Eucharistic Adoration and Devotion to the Sacred  Heart of Jesus starting at 6am followed by Holy Mass at 7am and confessions after Mass.

9. The Sacred Heart devotion group has organised a night Vigil on Friday 6th September from 8pm to 6am here at the Church. You are invited to attend.

10. Saturday 7th September 2024 will be the first Saturday of the month. The Immaculate Heart of Mary devotional group will have prayers at the Grotto after the morning Mass.                        

11. Miriam Nakoi, a lady from Turkana wishes to establish an elderly Center to support the vulnerable elderly in Turkana. She is seeking support through the sale of her books whose proceeds is dedicated for the Elderly Center. She has visited today to share her noble cause.

 

12. Marriage Banns for the First time: We announce the marriage between;

i. Harrison Ngugi Gitau and Roselyne Wairimu Kimotho. Harrison is son to Peter Gitau Ngugi and Esther Wanjiru Wagura. Roselyne is daughter to John Kimotho Kamau and Bibiana Wangui Kimotho.

ii. Robert Lukhanda Shibutse and Maryanne Wanjiru Waithaka. Robert is son to Reuben Mutsalali Shibutse and Clara Nanjala Shibutse. Maryanne is daughter to Anthony Roki Waithaka  and Ann Muthoni Waithaka.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father-in-Charge.

13. Mass for Blessed Irene SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday 3rd September 2024, at 7 pm.

14. Mass for St Claire SCC will be celebrated on Wednesday 4th September 2024, at 7 pm.

15. Mass for St Rita SCC will be celebrated on Wednesday 4th September  2024, at 7 pm.

16. Mass for Charismatic Group will be celebrated on Thursday 5th September 2024, at 7 pm.

17. Mass for St Peter the Rock will be celebrated on Thursday 5th September 2024, at 7 pm.

18. Mass for St Ephreim Choir will be celebrated on Thursday 5th September 2024, at 7 pm.

19. Mass for St Teresa of Calcutta will be celebrated on Thursday 5th September 2024, at 7 pm.
