OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 1. Infant Baptisms will take place on Saturday, 16th September 2023, at 10.00 am. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the Parents and godparents. The deadline for submission of the forms is today, 20th August 2023. Classes will begin on Saturday 26th August 2023, at St. Maria Goretti Hall at 2.00 pm.

2. PMC ANNOUNCEMENT

a. PMC children wish to thank all Christians and Jumuiya members for the great support received towards the charity drive held on Saturday 12/8/2023. We assisted the less fortunate in our parish through your generous contributions. May you and your families be blessed for supporting this noble mission.

3. MYM ANNOUNCEMENTS

We have lined some activities for the MYM for this month of August as follows:

i. Today, 20th August 2023 - Mass for MYM and their parents is at 9.30 am and thereafter a Seminar.

ii. 22nd to 25th August 2023 - Holiday Camp - 9 am to 4 pm including Recollection (Lunch is normally provided)

iii. 26th August 2023 - Rehearsals for the Talent Show and Animation training

iv. 27th August 2023...

4.Radio Waumini is pleased to invite you to the celebrations to mark Radio Waumini’s 20th anniversary. Radio Waumini was launched in July 2003 to evangelise through broadcast media. It is a project of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops. The celebrations will be on 2nd September 2023 at Radio Waumini grounds from 10 am. They have some merchandise that they wish to sell to us in support of the work of evangelization next Sunday 27th August 2023. Kindly support them.

5.“Marriage Encounter is pleased to announce that they will hold a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Original Weekend on September 1-3, 2023 for married couples and religious people at the St. Francis Spiritual Center, Kasarani. If interested in participating kindly visit the tent outside the Church for more details and registration.

6. Marriage Banns: for the first time. We announce the marriage between George Odongo Chota and Teresa Agnes Achieng Nduta. George is the son to George Chota and Janet Chota. Teresa is the daughter to Philip Odongo Opondo and Sophia Ndungu Nduta.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father In Charge.

7. MYM group will have their recollection on Wednesday 23rd August 2023, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

8. Mass for St. Michael the Archangel SCC will be celebrated on Thursday 24th August 2023, at 7.00 pm

9. Mass for St. Francis SCC will be celebrated on Friday 25th August 2023, at 7.00 pm.

10. Mass for Mary Help of Christians SCC will be celebrated on Saturday 26th August 2023, at 3.00 pm.
