OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 7th November 2021

1. Every first and second Sunday of the month, we usually offer our tithe to the Lord. Today being the first Sunday, You are invited to make your offering, by putting your Tithe envelope in the tithe boxes on the pillars, as you leave the Church. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Pay bill No. is 867165.

2. November is the month to pray for the Faithful departed (Family members, friends and relatives). Kindly pick an envelope marked “Departed Faithful” from the Church pillars and write the names of the departed and drop them with your contribution in the “Departed Faithful” box at the sanctuary.

3. Central Deanery Family day shall be on Saturday 13th November 2021 at St. Mary School Msongari. His Lordship Bishop David Kamau, will preside over the commissioning of new C.M.A members on the same day. Our Parish will present 25 new members for commissioning. All CMA members are invited to attend. Mass will begin at 10.00am.

4. The Newly appointed Archbishop of Nairobi, His grace Archbishop Philip Anyolo, will arrive in the Archdiocese of Nairobi on Friday 19th November 2021. He will be received at the FLYOVER (Near Soko Mjinga) by His Lordship Bishop David Kamau and the Christian faithful of Limuru Deanery. He will have stopovers at Ngarariga Parish, St. Peter & Paul Kiambu Parish and then proceed to Holy Family Basilica.

5. The installation Mass for His Grace, Archbishop Philip Anyolo will take place on Saturday, 20th November 2021 at St. Mary’s Msongari grounds at 10.00am. All are invited.

6. There will be Mass for CWA Members on Sunday, 21st November 2021, at Maria Goretti hall at 10.00am, followed by a talk.

7. Caritas self-help group is pleased to inform the Christians that they are recruiting new members. Registration fee is 200 kshs. For more details kindly visit the Parish tent after mass or caritas office in our Church downstairs next to catechists’ Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

8. Caritas will hold their AGM on 5th December after the 10.00am Mass at St. Maria Goretti Hall.

9. Mass for St. Augustine SCC is on Wednesday, 10/11/2021, at 6.30pm, at St. Joseph Hall.

11. Mass for St. Raphael SCC is on Saturday, 13/11/2021, at 4.00pm, at St. Maria Goretti Hall

12. Marriage Banns: For the first time: we announce marriage between Antony Mugambi and Winnie Wanja. Antony is son to Lawrence Kiautha Arithi and Zipporah K. Kiautha. Winnie is daughter to Professor Isaiah I. C. Wakindiki and Miriam Chabaari

13. Marriage Banns: For the Third time: we announce marriage between Benard Ndichu and Phyllis Kananu. Benard is son to James Kiriga and Margaret Wangui. Phyllis is daughter to Joseph Kiria Mwamba and Catherine Karimi Magambo.

2. Novemba ni mwezi wa kuombea marehemu(wanafamilia, marafiki, ndugu na jamii). Tafadhali chukua bahasha iliyoandikikwa “Departed Faithful” Kutoka kwa katekista na uandike majina ya marehemu na uweke bahasha kwenye mfuko wa sadaka.

3. Central family Day itakuwa Jumamosi tarehe 13 Novemba 2021. Askofu David Kamau, ataongoza shughuli ya kukabidhiwa rasmi kwa wanachama wapya wa C.M.A katika uwanja wa St. Mary’s Msongari kuanzia saa 10.00 asubuhi. Parokia yetu itawasilisha washiriki wapya 25 kwa ajili ya kuwaagiza. Wanachama wote wa CMA wanaalikwa kuhudhuria.
