OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 14th November 2021

1. Every first and second Sunday of the month, we usually offer our tithe to the Lord. Today being the Second Sunday, you are invited to make your offering, by putting your Tithe envelope in the tithe boxes on the pillars, as you leave the Church. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Pay bill No. is 867165.

2. Capuchin TV will stream live all Our Lady of the Rosary Masses next Sunday 21st November 2021.

3. November is the month in which we pray for the Faithful departed. Kindly pick an envelope marked “Departed Faithful” from the Church pillars and write the names of the departed and drop them with your contribution in the “Departed Faithful” box at the sanctuary.

4. The installation Mass for His Grace, Archbishop Philip Anyolo will take place on Saturday, 20th November 2021 at St. Mary’s Msongari grounds at 10.00am. Each Parish is required to send at least 50 representatives.

5. There will be Mass for CWA Members next Sunday, 21st November 2021, at Maria Goretti hall at 10.00am, followed by a talk.

6. Mass for the Divine Mercy group is on Wednesday, 17/11/2021, at 6.30pm, at St. Maria Goretti Hall.

7. Mass for St. Stephen SCC is on Thursday, 18/11/2021, at 6.30pm, at St. Maria Goretti Hall

8. St. Jude SCC will have their retreat on 27th November 2021 at the Resurrection garden.

9. Mass for Mary help of Christian SCC is on Saturday, 20/11/2021, at 4.00pm, at St. Maria Goretti Hall

10. Marriage Banns: For the Second time: we announce marriage between Antony Mugambi and Winnie Wanja. Antony is son to Lawrence Kiautha Arithi and Zipporah K. Kiautha. Winnie is daughter to Professor Isaiah I. C. Wakindiki and Miriam Chabaari

Should there be any reason why the above should not wed, please do not hesitate to consult the Father In Charge.

11. We are all encouraged to observe the Covid protocols as advised by the government.

12. Synod Announcement

His Holiness Pope Francis has called the universal church in a synod Entitled: “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation & Mission”. Kindly note the following highlights;

a. The synod opened on 10th October, 2021 in Rome and 16th October, 2021 in the Archdiocese of Nairobi.

b. The Pope is inviting each and every Catholic Faithful to participate

c. The Parish has appointed a Team that will run with the project

d. There will be induction for Parish Leaders and All Parishioners on 4th and 5th December 2021.

e. A questionnaire will be given out for each one of us to fill in due course

f. Kindly pick the Synod Booklet as you exit the Church to help you fully participate in the process.

g. Further details about the synod will be communicated in due course
