OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 1. Every First and Second Sunday of the month, we normally offer our tithe to the Lord. Next Sunday, 2nd June 2024, will be the first Tithe Sunday. We will present our tithe at the Sanctuary for blessings. Tithe envelopes are available in the tithe boxes at the Church pillars and at the Church Tent. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Paybill Number is 867165.

2. Saturday 1st June 2024 is a public Holiday. We shall have Morning Mass at 8.00am.

3. 1st June 2024 will be the first Saturday of the month. The Immaculate Heart of Mary devotional group will have prayers at the Grotto after the morning Mass.

4. There will be Children’s confession downstairs immediately after the 10.00am mass today 25th May 2024.

5. Infant baptism will take place on Saturday, 15th June 2024at 10.00 am here in the Church. Instruction classes for parents and godparents are ongoing every Saturday at St. Maria Goretti Hall at 2.00 pm. Kindly note: We will not have classes on Saturday 1st June 2024.

6. Today, May 26th, 2024, after the 10:00 AM, there will be a formation session for young couples on the topic ‘Why solemnize marriage - a spiritual perspective’. These sessions are intended for couples who have been together for 15 years and below. Couples who would like to participate in this formation session but are not members of the Whatsapp group for Young Couples are kindly requested to resister at the tent outside the church.

7. The Youth Board monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, 2nd June at 8am. All Youth Board Members are kindly requested to attend.

8. The Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) Seminary Endowment Fund invites you for a Charity golf tournament to boost the endowment fund that caters for the education and sustenance of our seminarians (those preparing to become priests), on 7th June 2024 at Limuru Country Golf Club. Charges will be: single – 4,000/= & Four-Ball- 10,000/=. Pay Bill No. is 559980. Account: GOLF. Payment due by: 31st May 2024. The E-invite has been shared through various Whatsapp groups.

9. St. Jerome Bible Group that works under the Leadership of Rev. Fr. Vincent Kamiri requests for your support in spreading the Word of God through donation of Bibles. The Bible’s are shared with less fortunate members of our society. From 2017, the group has donated 2,793 bibles to various churches in the slum areas across Nairobi. You can drop a Bible you are not using at the Parish Office or send your donation through Mpesa till number 8475028 or to Rev Fr. Vincent Kamiri on 0721 532 930. Thank you for the support you have accorded to this mission anytime you are called upon to spread the Gospel.

10. Marriage Banns: for the Third time. We announce the marriage between Muthomi Munyua and Pauline Wanjira. Muthomi is son to Julius G. M. Mutuaruchiu and Jennifer Karambu. Pauline is daughter to Bernard Kariuki and Susan Murugi.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father-in-Charge.

11. Mass for St. Joseph SCC will be celebrated on Wednesday29th May 2024, at 7.00pm.

12. Mass for St. Michael SCC will be celebrated on Thursday 30th May 2024, at 7.00 pm.
