OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 1. On the first and second Sundays of the month, we usually offer our tithe to the Lord. Today being the first Sunday, you are invited to make your offering by bringing your tithe envelopes to the Sanctuary for blessings. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Pay bill No. is 867165. Choir please give us an offertory hymn.

2. Our Lady of Rosary Catholic Women Association (CWA) invites you to the Harvest Day on 10th December 2023. We are appealing to the Parishioners to donate dry foods towards assisting our needy families in our community. (Proverbs 19: 17). Kindly drop the food stuffs at the Blessed Irene Hall on or before 6th December 2023.

3. Our Priests will visit the sick, homebound and the elderly on Tuesday 5th December 2023, from 9.00 am. Kindly register at the tent outside the Church

4. Next Sunday 10th December 2023, the Parish Priest would like to meet the catechumens parents at St Monica Hall after the 10 am Mass.

5. Seminarian Antony Makau was ordained into the Order of Diaconate yesterday. He has been posted to Divine Mercy Parish, Juja. He will be with us next Sunday 10th December 2023 to give thanks and bid us farewell.

6. CMA ANNOUNCEMENTS

Registration for the new CMA formation class is ongoing at the Tent outside the Church, and in the Parish Office during the week. All men who have not yet joined C.M.A. are invited to register. Those who collected forms are requested to return the forms by next Sunday 10th December 2023. Formation Classes will begin in January 2024.

7. Our Parish wishes to establish a ministry for young couples. In this regard, all young couples who have lived together for 15 years and below are invited to attend to an introductory meeting today 3rd December 2023 from 11.30 am - 1 pm at the Blessed Irene Hall. Please note that this ministry welcomes all young couples regardless of whether or not they have solemnised their marriage.

8. Registration for the Sacred Heart group is ongoing at the Tent outside the Church, and in the Parish Office during the week. Classes will begin on 10th December 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Hall.

9. Today 3rd December 2023, we will have a guest speaker during all Masses to share some insights on Self-awareness for 15mins only. We are all encouraged to be attentive.

10. St. Mary’s School – Runda along Kiambu Road is a girls' boarding school under the management of the Assumption Sisters of Nairobi. It is a Catholic

School offering CBC and 8-4-4 curriculum. Form 1 intake is ongoing, form 2 & 3 has a few openings and intake for Daycare, Playgroup, PP1 & PP2 is ongoing. For more information, kindly get a flier at the tent outside the Church.

11. PMC ANNOUNCEMENTS

Ø PMC’s Christmas Carols programme is ongoing. The programme runs every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday up to 9th December 2023 from 1 pm - 5 pm. This will climax with a Christmas Carlos concert on 10th December 2023 from 3 pm. We encourage all children between the ages of 3yrs to 13yrs to participate.

Ø PMC children's online registration is still ongoing. Kindly scan the QR code at the tent outside the church to register all your children aged between 1 year to 13 years.

12. To inculcate the culture of reading, the Parish has started a library for the PMC and MYM children. To make this project a success we appeal for children's story books and Bibles, youth story books, and motivational and general knowledge books. The books can be dropped off at the church office any day of the week. You can also make your donation in cash by sending your cash donation to Tithe pay bill: 867165: Account: “Book Donations”

13. MYM ANNOUNCEMENTS:

a. The Missionary Youth Movement (MYM) have organized a charity drive on 6th January 2024 for families in need within the community. We request your support towards this charity drive by donating dry foodstuffs and clothes. Kindly drop off in kind contributions at the Blessed Irene Hall or send monetary contributions to Paybill: 867165 Account Number: MYM Charity.

b. The MYM Mass is every Sunday at 10 am at St Joseph Hall.

14. End of the year party and Mass for St Joseph SCC will be celebrated on Friday 8th December 2023, at 5.30 pm.

15. End of the year party and Mass for St Michael SCC will be celebrated on Saturday 9th December 2023, from 12pm.

16. End of the year party and Mass for St Raphael SCC will be celebrated on Saturday 9th December 2023, at 12pm.

17. Marriage Banns: for the Third time. We announce the marriage between Edwin Mwenda Kinoti and Mercy Ngugi Mwirigi. Edwin is the son to Salafino Kinoti Arimi and Lillian Nkatha Kinoti. Mercy is the daughter to Charles Mwirigi and Jane Kinanu.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father in Charge.
