OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 1. Every first and second Sunday of the month, we usually offer our tithe to the Lord. Today being the second Sunday, You are invited to make your offering, by putting your Tithe envelope in the lockable tithe boxes fixed on the pillars, as you leave the Church. Our Parish Tithe Mpesa Pay bill No. is 867165.

2. Catechumens in the class of Confirmation will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, 24th April 2022 during the noon Mass.

3. Holy Week Announcements:

a. Priests are available today, for confessions from 9.00am to 2.30pm at the halls downstairs and after today’s evening Mass.

b. Mass of the Lord’s Supper is on Thursday, 14th April 2022, at 6.00pm. It will immediately be followed by adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. Mass will be animated by St. Jude SCC.

c. On Good Friday, Christians are requested to assemble at the church compound by 11.30am. You are reminded to carry your Rosary for the Divine mercy chaplet. CMA group will be animating the service.

d. Good Friday way of the cross for Children and the elderly will be done in the Church from 12 noon.

e. There will be Special collection for the Holy land on Good Friday. This is a universal appeal that is used to preserve the holy places where Jesus lived and taught.

f. During the Easter vigil mass, Christians are reminded to bring candles including candle holders to avoid spilling of wax in church. Remember to also carry your Rosaries for the divine Mercy Chaplet. Easter Vigil Mass will be animated by St. Stephen SCC.

g. Rehearsals for catechumens in First Holy Communion and Baptism together with their god parents will be conducted on Saturday 16th April 2022 at 10.00am. The rehearsals are mandatory for all.

4. Mass for St. Monica SCC is on Wednesday, 13/04/2022, at 6.30 pm.

5. Our Lady of Rosary Self Help Group has started disbursement of Loans. Members are requested to visit the church tent for more details. You are also encouraged to make your monthly contribution.

6. Caritas Self-Help Group (SHG), is recruiting new members, and current members are reminded to conveniently use the Paybill Number: 4020301 to effect their monthly contributions.

7. Easter Envelopes are available at the Church pillars. Kindly pick an envelope and offer your Easter offering.

8. Marriage Banns: for the Second time. We announce marriage between Brian Kamau and Sylvia Wanjiru. Brian is son to James Ndirangu and Esther Wanjiru. Jane is daughter to John Mwangi and Catherine Thanji.

Should there be any reason that the above should not wed, do not hesitate to consult the Father In Charge.
