OLRCP ANNOUNCEMENTS. 15th February 2026

1. The Lenten Season commences on Ash Wednesday, 18th February 2026. The Mass programme for the day is as follows:

i.Ridgeways – 6.45 am, 1:00pm and 6:00 pm

ii.Muringa - 5.30pm

iii.Huruma - 5.30pm

iv.Karura - 1:00pm

The Priest’s Office will remain closed on that day.

2.The Ash Wednesday morning Mass (6.45 am) will be animated by the daily Mass group, Lunchtime Mass (1.00 pm) by CMA & CWA groups and the evening Mass (6:00 pm) by Liturgy committee, Ushers, Lectors groups.

3.We shall have a special collection during Ash Wednesday Mass; the collection is used to finance Justice and Peace activities at the Diocesan and National level. Kindly give generously.

4.The Way of the Cross is every Friday of Lent at 5.30 pm followed by Holy Mass. This coming Friday, (20/02/2026), it will be animated by the CWA Group.

5.During the forty days of lent we shall have “THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE” with daily Eucharistic adoration and guided reflections, every Monday to Friday (6 am-7 am) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) (6.30 am-7.30 am) followed by Mass.

6.The Catholic Women Association (CWA) will have a luncheon with the Priest tomorrow, Monday 16th. The day’s program will begin with Holy Mass, followed by the luncheon thereafter. All CWA members are kindly requested to attend and keep time.

7.Infant Baptism will take place on Saturday; 7th March 2026 at 10:00 am here in the church. It will be preceded by 3 Baptismal instruction classes for the parents and godparents. The classes will begin on Saturday, 14th February 2026 at 2:00 pm in St. Maria Goretti Hall. Registration is ongoing at the Parish Tent or at the Parish Office

8.Kindly be informed that the 2026 Parish Calendars are still available. They are going for Ksh 250 only per copy.

9.The Masses for:

a)St. Faustina SCC,

b)St. Josephine Bakhita SCC will be celebrated on Tuesday, 17th February, at 7:00 p.m.

10.The Masses for:

a) St. Jude SCC,

b)St. Stephen SCC,

c)St. Mark the Evangelist SCC and

d)St. Joachim SCC will be celebrated on Thursday, 19th February, at 7:00 p.m.

11.Home blessings for Our Lady of Fatima SCC will be held on Saturday, 21st February at 9:00 a.m.

Today’s Mass has been animated by the Christ the King Choir. We are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Lord through music for the greater glory of God. Our practice sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and on Sundays before and after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. If you are new to the parish or have been a member for some time, are aged 18 years and above, and feel called to serve God through music, you are warmly invited to join us. 1. On the first and second Sundays of the month, we usually offer our tithe to the Lord. Today being the Second Sunday of June, you are invited to make your offering by bringing your tithe envelopes to the Sanctuary for blessings.

2. Infant baptism will take place on Saturday, 15th June 2024at 10.00 am here in the Church.

3. Today, 9th June 2024, the Young couples group are cordially invited by Fr. Andrew to join the Young Catholic Parents from St. Patrick Parish, Thika after the 12 O’clock Mass at St. Joseph’s Hall.

4. Next Sunday the 16th of June, we shall have our monthly wellness talk in all Masses. The topic is on Marriage and the guest speaker will be Dr. Beatrice Churu assisted by Dr. Phyllis Muraya from Tangaza University. They will also be selling their book; 'Walking the Joyful Paths of Marriage'.

5. CMA will hold their Social get together for ALL MEN nextSunday 16th June 2024 at Royal Brains School, Ruaka beginning with Mass at 9.00am. ALL MEN in our church are invited to attend as we reflect on our Physical and Mental Health. For more information and registration details kindly visit the Tent outside the Church.

6. St. Jerome Bible Group that works under the Leadership of Rev. Fr. Vincent Kamiri requests for your support in spreading the Word of God through donation of Bibles. The Bible’s are shared with less fortunate members of our society. From 2017, the group has donated 2,793 bibles to various churches in the slum areas across Nairobi. You can drop a Bible you are not using at the Parish Office or send your donation through Mpesa till number 8475028 or to Rev Fr. Vincent Kamiri on 0721 532 930. Thank you for the support you have accorded to this mission anytime you are called upon to spread the Gospel.

7. Marriage Banns: for the Second time. We announce the marriage between Samuel Kamau Karuga and Emma Njeri Githenya. Samuel is son to Michael Karuga and Veronica Wangari Karuga. Emma is daughter to Duncan Githenya and Maria Wacuka.

8. Marriage Banns: for the Second time. We announce the marriage between Paul Gathii Wakairu and Doryne Muthoni Mimano. Paul is son to David Wakairu and Faith Wakairu. Doryne is daughter to Jeff Muraguri and the late Stella Mimano.
